David
Reiss received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the California
Institute of Technology in 1981. He has extensive experience
in both academia and industry and has held positions at a
premier government laboratory, a Silicon Valley start-up,
an Internet infrastructure start-up, a top-tier defense contractor,
as the scientific communications director for Stephen Wolfram
for the completion and launch of
A New Kind of Science, as well as the usual litany of
academic fellowship positions. His Biography is on-line.
David Reiss provides a broad range of creative consulting
services relating to the pure and applied sciences. He has
a strong gift for analyzing, distilling, synthesizing, and
communicating scientific and technical content both in writing
and orally, and for general and technical audiences.
Reiss also has a subspecialty in Mathematica consulting
and training. He is an accredited Mathematica consultant, and also served
for a number of years as technical editor for Wolfram Research's
MathSource.
